Get the GuideGrapevine’s agrarian traditions are preserved at Nash Farm, which includes the original 1869 farmhouse, historic barn and other structures. The farm raises heritage breed livestock including Gulf Coast Sheep, turkeys and chickens and grows heirloom field crops and produce. Click here to learn more about Nash Farm's history.
The farm grounds, historic structures and exhibits are open for self-guided tours during regular business hours. Pack a picnic and enjoy your lunch with pastoral views. Beverages and memorabilia are available for purchase at the Farm Store.
Throughout the year, Nash Farm hosts interpretive events and guided activities such as First Fridays, Farm-to-Fork dining experiences and Victorian Christmas. With advance planning, Nash Farm offers group tours and field trips that may include hands-on activities and demonstrations of historic skills and trades. See our calendar of events for details.
Help Nash Farm preserve, protect and visually reflect the agricultural heritage of the Grape Vine Prairie by following this Usage Policy.
Nash Farm is closed New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Nash Farm is available for photography shoots. Please follow the requirements below.
Photographers are required to have a Photographer Membership to use Nash Farm for any photo shoots. Nash Farm photographers must have their badge to photograph at the Farm. Those without a badge will be asked to leave the grounds. Photographer Memberships are issued by the Grapevine Heritage Foundation. In addition, when Nash Farm is used in photographs, it is required that credit be given to Nash Farm for location use.
When photographing, do not disrupt Nash Farm visitors, staff, equipment or the animals in any way. Be aware that there may be tours, events or other scheduled activities at the farm that have precedence over the photography session.
Photos must be taken during regular Nash Farm hours. Tripods and monopods are not allowed in any indoor buildings or on any equipment and are not allowed to block visitor pathways. Photographers are responsible for leaving things exactly as they were when they arrived.Nash Farm is not responsible for personal injury experienced by photographers, individuals or groups being photographed.
Parking is permitted only in designated parking areas (Farm side of Homestead Drive or the Botanical Gardens parking lot).
The Grapevine Heritage Foundation's mission for Nash Farm is to preserve, protect, and visually reflect the significance of our farming and agricultural heritage so that future generations may appreciate and experience a way of life lived by settlers of the Grape Vine Prairie.
Nash Farm offers multiple special events and interpretive programs, as well as, educational tours that allow citizens and visitors to connect with the agricultural heritage of the Grape Vine Prairie.
