Submit an Event

Are you hosting an event or know of something fabulous you think should be listed on the Grapevine calendar? We'd love to learn more! Let us share the news about your event. Give us as much information as you can, from location, time, dates and any other pertinent details, including admission fees. And don't forget to leave a contact name, phone number and email address so we can contact you in case we have more questions.

WhAT TYPES OF EVENTS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Grapevine Convention & Visitor Bureau events calendar is aimed at visitors seeking leisure activities that they can enjoy while visiting Grapevine. Put yourself in the visitors shoes and ask yourself, "Would I do this while on vacation?"

TIPS AND REQUIREMENTS

Events should be fun and exciting, right? Make your event stand out and you'll have a better chance of getting it approved by following these recommendations:

• Must include a full description of the event and what visitors can expect.
• Must include a high-resolution image of the actual event when possible. Exceptions can be made for first-time events.
  • Event flyers—especially those with a lot of text—and logos are not ideal and unlikely to be approved.
  • Images in landscape orientation, 3:2 ratio and at least 900x600 pixels are highly preferred.
     
• Use proper punctuation. 
  • Please do not use all caps. Here's a quick example: don't submit an event that says, "Our event is FUN AND FREE."
  • Please use complete sentences in the description.
  • Try not to capitalize words that are not proper nouns and adjectives. Example: Please Don't Submit Sentences That Look Like This. That will get thrown out faster than a bad bottle of wine. 
     

EVENTS NOT LIKELY TO BE APPROVED INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Fundraisers and charity functions (Includes 5K/10K runs, golf tournaments, dinners and more)
• Dining specials (Except for certain holidays including Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving and others)
• Happy hours
• Trivia nights at bars and restaurants
• Seminars, lectures and workshops
• Networking events
• Consumer expos
• Pet adoptions
• "Grand Opening" of a business
• Religious ceremonies and functions
• Open houses and most anything else related to real estate
• Events with limited capacity and/or restrictions on who may attend
• Events located outside of Grapevine

Your event will not automatically be added to the calendar once you click "Submit My Event." It will first go through an approval process to make sure that it contains all the information needed to be added, and that the event is appropriate for our calendar.
