More than 75 artisans participated in Main Street, with approximately one-third being first-time festival vendors. The artisans offered all types of handcrafted goods including jewelry, clothing, lamps, sculptures, fine art originals, metal work and more.
During Main Street Fest on Friday, May 19, the Grapevine Rotary Club dedicated a 16-foot, 4-sided clock to the City of Grapevine, which celebrates 50 years of service to the community and to the world. The clock is located in front of the 1888 Sayers and Scovill Hearse next to Foust Funeral Home on Grapevine's Historic Main Street. The clock was produced by the Verdin Company from Cincinnati, Ohio. The Verdin Company was formed in 1842 and since that time, six generations of the family have been dedicated to creating fine cast bronze bells, carillons, electronic digital bells, tower clocks, street clocks and streetscape furnishings that enrich communities and become cherished legacies for generations to enjoy.
In the weeks prior to Main Street Fest, a series of pre-festival events were held at establishments across North Texas including Deep Ellum Brewing Company, CIDERCADE, Lucy’s Lot and Tolbert’s. These special events highlight a variety of craft breweries that were participating in the 33rd Annual Main Street Fest.
The 34th Annual Main Street Fest will be held May 18, 19 and 20, 2018. Photos are available upon request. Attendance figures will be available by Wednesday, May 24. For more information about Grapevine or Main Street Fest, call 800-457-6338 or visit www.GrapevineTexasUSA.com.
