TAP INTO A LONE STAR STATE OF MIND AT GRAPEVINE’S 34TH ANNUAL MAIN STREET FEST MAY 18, 19 AND 20

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (April 18, 2018) – Tap into a Lone Star State of Mind at Grapevine’s 34th Annual Main Street Fest - A Craft Brew Experience, presented by Bank of the West, May 18, 19 and 20. Purchase your tickets now for the most exciting family-friendly Craft Brew festival in North Texas. The 34th Annual Main Street Fest coincides with American Craft Beer Week and is the perfect way to celebrate a Texas spring weekend.

Buy your tickets now for the Craft Brew Experience in the Craft Brew Garden, sponsored by Gaylord Texan Resort. Choose eight 3-ounce tastings from 75 craft brews produced by 36 breweries across the U.S, served in a Belgian-style tasting glass. Additional tastings are available for purchase. Throughout the weekend, a series of nine special, limited-release craft brews will be offered by select breweries. Tickets for the Craft Brew Experience are $15 in advance or $18 at the festival. Ticket prices do not include festival admission.

All new for 2018: Savor the flavors of Texas at the Lone Star State of Mind Pavilion featuring Texas-produced craft brews and wine. While you’re there, sample the foodie flavors the Lone Star State offers such as pralines, seasonings, honey, barbecue sauces, craft soda, jerky and more.

Do a little boot scootin’ at multiple stages throughout Main Street Fest. Stages include the Audi Grapevine Main Stage, the Town Square Gazebo Stage and the Palace Theatre stage. Back by popular demand, high-energy, engaging street performers and artists Mango and Dango return with an all new highly-skilled physical comedy circus show about the trials and tribulations of unrequited love. Will Mango ever give in to Dango? Probably not, but the excitement of the show featuring juggling, partner acrobats, a free standing ladder, rolla bolla, dance and aerial acrobatics will have guests shouting “Wow! Kiss him already!” The show is family-friendly and great fun to watch.

Hit a Lone Star high note this year at the 5th Annual DFW ICON vocal competition, produced by JG Entertainment. DFW ICON opens the microphone to talented singers between the ages of 7 to 30 years old. Winner packages include cash prizes in each category as well as an over all Grand Champion Winner, who will get to perform on the Main Stage during the 32nd Annual GrapeFest® - A Texas Wine Experience. Festival guests are welcome to attend each day of the competition. 

See Artists and Brews, the Grapevine Art Project’s newest juried art show, at Foust Event Center throughout Main Street Fest. This family-friendly art exhibit will feature works in a variety of media throughout the three day festival.

It’s always family fun time at Main Street Fest! Check out the KidZone, featuring Lone Star favorites including SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium’s touch pool, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Junior Builder Competition, activities and more. Save some money for your festival cash stash and purchase the Unlimited Carnival Ride Passes for $25 in advance or $30 at the festival on Friday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. The Carnival is located at the corner of Main and Wall Streets.

Festival food fans, make your plans now to tempt your taste buds with the flavors of Main Street Fest. Be mesmerized by the heavenly festival favorites such as corn dogs, turkey legs, nachos and funnel cakes. Smell the spices of the Cajun-themed treats. And bask in the sweetness of the mini donuts, cotton candy, handmade toffee, candy coated apples, root beer floats, ice cream, sno cones and more.

The 34th Annual Main Street Fest opens Friday, May 18 at 10 a.m. and admission is free until 5 p.m. Festival hours are Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19, 10 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 20, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.  After 5 p.m. on Friday, adults are $7 and children 6 – 12 and     seniors are $5. Weekend passes are $15. Souvenir weekend passes are $20. Complimentary shuttles run continuously from designated parking lots.
