BASK IN SPRINGTIME CELEBRATIONS DURING NASH FARM’S SPRING INTO NASH

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (March 28, 2019) Welcome spring the Grapevine way – with a celebration, of course! On Saturday, April 13, Nash Farm will greet the changing of the seasons with its annual Spring Into Nash event. From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., family-friendly fun will take place at Nash Farm, 626 Ball St.

Children and adults alike will enjoy experiencing Grapevine’s Historic Nash Farm and learning what life was like when the city’s earliest settlers made their home on the Grape Vine Prairie. Interactive activities include 19th century skills and trades, hands-on carpentry station (staff assisted), wagon rides, sheep shearing demonstrations, Farm animals and more. Built in 1869, the farmhouse turns 150 years old in 2019, and to celebrate, special demonstrations focused on historic construction will take place. Guests can also shop at the Farm General Store, stocked with 1880s reproductions of games, toys and household goods. Admission is free, however, some activities require coupons which can be purchased onsite. Food and drink will be available for purchase, including a special chicken noodle lunch.

Nash Farm, circa 1859, is the oldest operating farmstead in Tarrant County. Through interpretive programs, events and exhibits, Nash Farm educates the community about the heritage and importance of the Grape Vine Prairie and Grapevine’s pivotal role in the development of North Texas.
