Grapevine Vintage Railroad Offers Special trains on September 12 and 13
GRAPEVINE, TEXAS – (August 24, 2020) –Climb aboard the Grapevine Vintage Railroad to celebrate the Centennial of the 19th Amendment and to gather insight into the great strides and achievements of the women’s suffrage movement in Texas and across the country.
On Saturday, September 12, one specialty train will travel across the Cotton Belt Route to the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards. On Sunday, September 13, there will be two, one–hour Women’s Suffrage Victory Train rides offered. On-board passengers will encounter living history characters dressed in 1920s attire who will be distributing pamphlets derived from historic documents and sharing information in honor of the suffragette achievements. Guests are welcome to get in the spirit of the event and wear their own 1920s themed clothing.
