Main Street Fest Eblast HeaderGRAPEVINE, TEXAS (April 22, 2019) – Dust off your scrunchies, acid-washed jeans and leg warmers for Grapevine’s 35th Annual Main Street Fest – A Craft Brew Experience, presented by Bank of the West, because the family-friendly ’80s celebration, May 17, 18 and 19 is taking festival-goers “Back to 1985.” Jam out to live ’80s new wave pop, country, rock and blues music; nosh on traditional and gourmet festival fare; play old-school ’80s arcade games; take photos inside the DeLorean Time Machine; watch all three “Back to the Future” films and more! The 35th Annual Main Street Fest coincides with American Craft Beer Week and will be the largest celebration of its kind in North Texas.

Tickets are available now for the Craft Brew Experience, sponsored by Gaylord Texan Resort. Attendees can sample more than 75 craft brews served in a collectible Belgian-style tasting glass from 35 breweries across 15 states, including Grapevine’s very own Hop & Sting Brewing Co. Additional tastings will be available for purchase. Throughout the weekend, discover a series of nine special, limited-release craft brews typically not found outside of their respective breweries. Tickets for the Craft Brew Experience are $15 in advance or $18 after festival doors open. Ticket prices do not include festival admission.

ALL NEW FOR 2019: “Back to the Future” fans will be able to fulfill their childhood dreams and create the “most-liked” photo op of the summer by sitting inside and experiencing the DeLorean Time Machine. Enjoy “Back to the Future” Parts I, II and III at the Palace Theatre on Friday and Saturday, and Parts I and II on Sunday. Inside the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau building, retro video game enthusiasts will have the opportunity to play ’80s arcade games, such as Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Mario Bros. and more, all weekend long! Roaming entertainers from the likes of a Madonna impersonator, Marty McFly and Doc Brown will be first-timers at Main Street Fest and are sure to give festival-goers the perfect #FlashbackFriday photo op.

Shimmy and sway along to the music each day at the festival. This year, the Main Street Fest stages include the Audi Grapevine Stage and the Gazebo Stage. Headliners include ’80s new wave pop stars ABC, featuring original lead singer Martin Fry, known for “The Look of Love,” “Be Near Me,” and “Poison Arrow;” hit country singer Darryl Worley, known for “A Good Day to Run;” country crooner Ray Scott, known for “Drinkin’ Beer” and “Ain’t Always Thirsty;” and fan-favorite “nerd rock” party band, The Spazmatics. The Lone Star State of Mind Pavilion, featuring all things Texas, returns to Main Street Fest for the second year. Sample honey, barbecue sauces, jerky, baked goods, craft sodas and more, and find a new favorite Texas product. Texas-produced craft brew and wine will also be available for purchase.

Foust Event Center will host Grapevine Art Project’s juried art show “Artists in Brew – A Grapevine Artisan Experience” featuring works in a variety of media. A second art exhibition will be inside OIG – Office Interior Group, located on Main Street, called “We Are All Homeless.” Attendees can visit both exhibits throughout the three-day festival.

Main Street Fest caters to family-friendly fun! Children can experience the KidZone, featuring SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium’s Touch Pool, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Junior Builder Competition, Cinnamon Creek Ranch Archery, petting zoo and more. Look no further than the Carnival and Midway for exhilaration and excitement. Can’t get enough of the rides? The Unlimited Carnival Ride Pass, good Friday from 4-9 p.m., is available for $25 in advance online or $30 at the festival. The Carnival is located on the corner of Main and Wall Streets.

Traditional and gourmet foodies alike can also enjoy a multitude of cuisines. Enjoy classic festival bites, such as corn dogs, turkey legs, nachos, funnel cakes and kettle corn which can be purchased from vendors along Main Street. For attendees wanting more gourmet fare, gourmet vendors such as Ms. Piggy’s Catering, Little German Kitchen, Chef Donta, Cristi & Ali Cuisine and more will be ready to serve you. The flavors of the festival aren’t limited to street food vendors, though; guests can also sit down and relax at their favorite restaurant on Main Street and enjoy full menu selections.

Main Street Fest brings in artisans and marketplace vendors from all over the Metroplex and beyond. Stroll Main Street and find handmade treasures and unique gifts, including handcrafted polymer clay earrings and necklaces from first-time Main Street Fest vendor Eva Andre Design; Texana clothing and growlers from Tumbleweed Texstyles; assorted dog treats from BuddysBonz and more! During the festival, the boutiques, galleries, jewelry stores and more lining Main Street will be open.

In the weeks leading up to the festival, special brewery events will allow craft brew enthusiasts around the Metroplex to start their Main Street Fest celebrations early. These exclusive events will be held at Turning Point Beer in Bedford, Old Town Brewhouse in Lewisville, Cowtown Brewing Company in Fort Worth and Community Beer Company in Dallas. The 35th Annual Main Street Fest – A Craft Brew Experience, presented by Bank of the West, opens Friday, May 17 at 10 a.m. and admission is free until 5 p.m. After 5 p.m. on Friday, adults are $7, children 6-12 and seniors 62+ are $5 and children five and under are free. Weekend passes are $15. Souvenir weekend passes are $20. Complimentary shuttles run continuously from designated parking lots. Festival hours are Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18, 10 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 19,  11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
