GrapeFest - A Wine Experience - Culinary Artistry, Wine Pairings and Corn Dogs?
GRAPEVINE, TX - August, 2011 - GrapeFest - A Wine Experience - will celebrate its 25th anniversary and the best of Texas wines on September 15, 16, 17 and 18. Everything you need to know is at www.GrapevineTexasUSA.com/GrapeFest.
GrapeFest provides not only culinary artistry and wine pairings galore, but also the fun of traditional festival foods such as corn dogs, funnel cakes, burgers and steak on a stick. (Who needs to wait for the State Fair of Texas?) There is truly something for every palate at GrapeFest. Don't miss the Crepe Crazy booth - lots of pointing going on since the chefs and sales people are all hearing impaired. The only things you'll hear nearby are exclamations of "Yummy!" as folks dive into either sweet or savory French crepes from Texas' crepe experts.

Paula Lambert, owner of the Mozzarella Company, offers one of her favorite food and wine pairings:
I think one of the most delicious wine/cheese pairings is McPherson Sangiovese (from Lubbock) paired with our Montasio Festivo (an aged goat cheese with an ancho chile rind). The Sangiovese is a light red wine with a wonderful fruity flavor that is absolutely perfect with our Montasio Festivo's rich sun-kissed ripe chile rind that complements the mellow cheese.
More great food events:
A gourmet Champagne Brunch will be available in Weem's Alley, next to Grapevine City Hall.
