Grapevine, Texas (April 2012) - Can't make it to London for the Summer Olympics? No need to feel left out! Make a trip to Grapevine instead! The British Emporium is hosting an in-store preview event with NBC Olympic Commentator Lewis Johnson on Tuesday, May 15th, 7 p.m. as their special guest. Mr. Johnson, who will be traveling to London to cover the Games, will give everyone a special behind-the-scenes look at the Olympics, followed by a question and answer session, autographs and photo opportunities.
Complimentary English tea and refreshments will be provided. Commemorative souvenirs and themed items will be available for sale.
According to Mr. Johnson, "This is a very exciting time of the year, as we approach the Games of the 30th Olympiad in London. Having covered every summer and winter Olympics since Sydney back in 2000, I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone at the British Emporium in historic downtown Grapevine, Texas to share some of my inside stories of triumph & tragedy from those past Games, and chat about what you can expect to see later this summer. Bring all your questions and let's just have a great time visiting in London's ‘foreign office' in Texas, the British Emporium!"
