Grapevine will also pay tribute to members of the military at "Mail Call" - A Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition at Grapevine's Tower Gallery, located at 636 S. Main St. The exhibit explores the history of America's military postal system and examines how even in today's era of instant communication, troops overseas continue to treasure mail delivered from home. Admission is free and the exhibit is open daily now through April 15. Passengers on the GVRR can view the exhibit before the train departs for Fort Worth.
The GVRR's Grapevine to the Fort Worth Stockyards excursions depart from the Historic Cotton Belt Depot, 705 S. Main St., at 1 p.m. and return to Grapevine at approximately 5:45 p.m. The Stockyards Trinity River Ride departs at 2:45 p.m. and returns at approximately 3:45 p.m. Throughout the year, the GVRR also offers special annual events such as the Jazz Wine Trains, Day Out With ThomasTM, North Pole Express® and more.
