TAP INTO GRAPEVINE’S 30TH ANNUAL MAIN STREET DAYS MAY 16, 17 AND 18

GRAPEVINE, TEXAS (March 31, 2014) - Tap into three full days of festival fun at Grapevine's 30th Annual Main Street Days - A Craft Brew Experience May 16, 17 and 18! Held along Main Street in Historic Downtown Grapevine, guests will experience new and returning favorites at this milestone event, with a special emphasis on craft brew tasting experiences. The 30th Annual Main Street Days coincides with American Craft Brew Week.

Did you know that Texans consume more craft beer per capita than Ireland or Germany? Find out what all the excitement is about at a variety of craft brew events during the 30th Annual Main Street Days. From craft beer tastings to the exciting TapTalk Brewmaster Discussion Series to pre-festival craft brew and dining experiences, you're sure to find three full days of craft brew fun in Grapevine! Events will feature Texas and regional craft beers. And if you prefer a little fruit of the vine, don't miss the chance to visit the all-new Texas Wine Terrace, located in Liberty Park across from Grapevine City Hall and featuring wines from across Texas. Two additional wine pavilions will be located within the festival.

Purchase your ticket now for the newly expanded Craft Brew Experience, located at Main and Texas Streets. Ticket holders can choose 12 two-ounce pours from more than 30 craft brews, including favorites such as Odell Brewing Company, Real Ale, Franconia, Saint Arnold and more. Additional tastings are available for purchase on-site. Tickets are $12 in advance or $14 at the festival. Ticket prices do not include festival admission.

Don't miss the brand new series of four pre-festival craft brew and dining events in the weeks prior to Main Street Days. The series will be led by brew masters and will feature food designed to specifically enhance the craft brew experience. The locations for the craft brew and dining events are Chill, 814 S. Main St., Tuesday, May 6, featuring Widmer Brothers Brewing from Portland, OR; Gaylord Texan Resort, 1501 Gaylord Trail, Thursday, May 8 featuring Real Ale from Blanco, TX; Flips Patio Grill, 415 State Hwy. 114, Grapevine, Monday May 12 featuring Saint Arnold from Houston, TX and Tolbert's Restaurant, 423 S. Main St., Tuesday, May 13 featuring Franconia Brewery from McKinney, TX.

Find your favorite music styles at five stages of live entertainment throughout Main Street Days. The Main Stage presented by DFW Audi and located at Main and Franklin Streets, features covered seating with ample space for large crowds enjoy a variety of local, regional and national bands. The Texas Wine Terrace Stage, located in Liberty Park, combines a beautiful and romantic shaded seating area in close proximity to the stage. The Gazebo Stage presented by Bud Light and located at the Town Square Gazebo, provides an open air music venue and will be home to a variety of acts throughout the festival. The Craft Brew Experience Pavilion Stage, located at Main and East Texas Streets, will feature acoustic music and the Palace Theatre Stage will host performances by the cast of The Grapevine Opry Show.

Pick up some cooking tips from the masters of the barbeque at the Main Street Days Grillin' Competition presented by Barbeques Galore. Sessions are held throughout the three day festival with the championship session on Sunday. Teams will grill a variety of meats in the quest to become the Main Street Days Grillin' Champion. See your children enjoy the thrill of KidCave. This year's activities include the SEA LIFE Grapevine Aquarium touch pool, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Junior Builder Competition, games with Kid's Celebrations and more. And don't miss all the interactive fun taking place on the KidCave Stage. And, back for 2014, it's pizza fun for the kids! Parents, bring your children to the enhanced Roma's Pizza Toss Academy, located at Main and Wall Streets. One of the most popular kid's activities when it debuted in 2012, the Roma's Pizza Toss Academy teaches little chefs ages 10 and under how to toss dough like a pizza pro! Sessions are held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Times vary and space is limited, so get there early.

Win a prize at the games or take a spin on the rides along the Carnival and Midway. Unlimited carnival ride passes will be available for $25 in advance or $30 at the festival on Friday from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. The Carnival and Midway are located at the corner of Main and Wall Streets.

Attention shoppers! Main Street Days features a unique lineup of specialty vendors at this year's event. With new and returning vendors, Main Street Days is the perfect spot to find a fabulous gift for yourself or that someone special. And don't forget, the more than 80 locally-owned shops, galleries, restaurants, jewelry stores, boutiques and more lining Grapevine's Historic Main Street will be open during the festival.

The 30th Annual Main Street Days opens Friday, May 16 at 10 a.m. and admission is free until 5 p.m. Festival hours are Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17, 10 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 18, 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. After 5 p.m. on Friday, adults are $7 and children 6 - 12 and seniors are $5. Weekend passes are $15. Souvenir weekend passes are $20. Free shuttles run continuously from designated parking lots.
